The company

WordFli Marketing Communications was originally founded as JotBox Creative in 2004 by president and primary consultant Jaime Banks. She saw an opportunity to provide small and mid-size business with a creative perspective on normally dry business communications. This mindset paired with an understanding of the challenges faced by small and mid-size businesses brings a unique attitude toward emerging communication technologies such as blogs and online communities as well as toward traditional print and broadcast media.

Jaime teamed up with identity and web design gurus at Sophic to support their work by serving clients who needed copywriting services. She committed herself to well-researched and compelling content, but found that clients were looking for more than that … they wanted guidance and creative insight to guide in making challenging communications decisions. Jaime and the WordFli team answered their call.

Jaime earned her bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Mesa State College in 2002, and then completed her master’s degree in technical communication from Colorado State University in 2004. She has served as a communications and marketing professional in the recreation, education, mass media, and high tech industries, as well as in municipal and federal governments. Her master’s research (Responses to Visual/Verbal Incongruence in Marketing Messages) was accepted to the 2006 International Communication Association Conference in Dresden, Germany.
